We’re delighted to host an MBSR course in collaboration with Innerwork Center! MBSR, or Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, is an eight-week evidence-based program that offers secular, intensive mindfulness training. The focus of MBSR is to support people in working with stress management, anxiety, depression, and even physical pain. Developed at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center by Professor Jon Kabat-Zinn, MBSR uses a combination of mindfulness meditation, body awareness, yoga, and exploration of patterns of behavior, thinking, feeling, and action. Participants learn practical tools and practices for daily life as well as traditional mindfulness meditation techniques. MBSR is to most well-respected mindfulness training in the world! This class will be guided by Elisa Bennett and Susan Wilkes, experienced teachers and practitioners.
